Description
Working closely with and reporting to the Head of Finance, the Senior Bookkeeper is responsible for the maintenance of up to date, accurate financial records and on time production of sales invoices and preparation up to trial balance. Specifically, the senior bookkeeper will be responsible for SAGE processing across the company and ensuring VAT, EC Sales and Intrastat compliance is completed accurately and on time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS

• Production of all sales invoices including owner’s supply, design fees and disbursements
• Processing and paying supplier invoices ensuring accurate project allocation
• Preparation of all records needed for timely production of management accounts ie bank reconciliation and project reconciliation
• Monthly payroll review and set up of monthly salary payments
• Completing all necessary compliance in relation to VAT, Intrastat and EC Sales
• Keeping accounting system up to date and reconciling bank accounts and credit cards monthly
• Keeping accurate records of client monies used for purchasing of supplies and providing a record of these to clients as requested
• Liaising with Team Principals and VAT specialists to ensure VAT status of each supply project is understood and advising FF&E buyers of all necessary compliance steps and completion of documentation
• Keep the Head of Finance updated at all times
• Filing all paperwork
