Junior Interior Designer

Description
Responsible to the Team Principal and working under direction from the Senior Interior Designer, the Junior Interior Designer is able to assist with creative 2D & 3D design, CAD including 3D visuals, liaising with other departments on multiple projects within team. Supporting the visualisation of the design vision and realising the design detail of the project. Showing a passion for design and a willingness to learn the Junior Interior designer will actively assist and shadow the more senior members of the team in order to learn the standards necessary to deliver world class design and ensure client projects are completed to an exceptional level.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
  • Preparation of all design information for 3D models for interior visuals
  • Assisting with creative conceptual work
  • Sourcing mood images and sketch layouts
  • Working as a team to produce presentation to the highest quality for client presentations
  • Working with graphics department to ensure high level continuity
  • Liaise with Decoration & Supply to ensure design information is accurate
  • Coordinate effectively with all colleagues and outside suppliers
  • Colouring of GAs and elevations


KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES & SKILLS
  • Graduate or Masters in Design
  • Some experience in Interior Design/Interior Architecture
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent English writing skills and verbal communication
  • Solid visual design skills, for 2D and 3D
  • Good working knowledge of AutoCAD, sketch up and/or Rhino, Photoshop, In Design
  • Good team player
  • Flexible attitude, help where work is needed in the company
  • Interest and knowledge in the latest design trends
  • Ability to multi task, prioritise, work to deadline and manage own time
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Natural enthusiasm and energy


PERFORMANCE MEASURES
  • Ensure tasks are completed within the allocated time agreed with line manager/project manager
  • Achievement of personal goals agreed in performance review
