Description
Reporting to the Team Principal and Head of Exteriors, you are responsible for the interpretation, development and creation of 3D models. Able to create 2D & 3D design CAD, including 3D visuals, liaising with other departments on multiple projects within the team. You are responsible for analysing 3D data from outside sources, development and creation of 3D design intent models to communicate accurate 3D design information to Shipyards and for photorealistic visuals and other graphic outputs for design presentations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS

• Work with the Team Principal, Creative Lead and Project Manager to ensure a full understanding of the design brief and design direction
• Responsibility for the production of 3D models based on exterior design intent
• Responsibility for 3D project coordination, directing 3D work and working with others including the junior creative team, graphics department and managing external visualisers
• Work closely with the Project Manager and construction teams to investigate and resolve complex performance, manufacturing and aesthetic issues associated with the exterior design
• Work closely with the Project Manager and Team Principal to ensure work is produced in a timely manner to ensure project schedules are met and ensure all stakeholders are kept up to date of progress
• Following construction of the 3D model, liaising with the relevant shipyard departments to ensure smooth handover
• Complete 3D models showing visual detail of the yacht exteriors for 3D visuals and client presentations
• When required, to represent RWD at project meetings, including overseas visits, and client meetings
• To communicate and translate the exterior design information to the client, shipyard and suppliers
• Using initiative and self-motivation to keep up to date with current trends and technologies, attending shows as necessary
